Dr Kemal Akbiyik is an experienced Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon practicing in Brisbane and Central Queensland. Dr Akbiyik holds a Bachelor of Medicine degree from the University of Newcastle, which he completed in 2006. He obtained his Bachelor of Dental Science degree from the University of Queensland in 1993 and completed his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery) in 2010.
Dr Akbiyik provides comprehensive care across the full spectrum of oral and maxillofacial surgery, with particular interests in dentoalveolar surgery, facial trauma and reconstructive surgery, bone grafting and implantology, orthognathic (corrective jaw) surgery and oral pathology.
With over 20 years of experience, Dr Akbiyik is a respected Maxillofacial Surgeon who remains current with advancements in the field through his ongoing involvement in professional development, including regular attendance at conferences and workshops. He is an active member of the relevant professional bodies, including the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons.
Dr Akbiyik consults and operates primarily from his practice in Milton and regularly performs procedures at St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital, The Wesley Hospital, South Brisbane Day Hospital and Hillcrest Private Hospital Rockhampton.
