Removal of Skin Lesions

Skin lesions can be categorized into two groups, either benign or malignant.

Benign Skin Lesions (non-cancerous): e.g. moles, cysts, warts, tags. Surgical removal of these lesions may be required to prevent spreading (warts), to stop irritation from clothing/jewelry or simply to improve appearance.

Malignant Skin Lesions(cancerous): Whilst basal cell and squamous cell carcinomas are generally slow growing and unlikely to spread to other parts of the body, Melanoma is a serious skin cancer that can spread to other parts of the body. Urgent removal of these lesions are recommended.

If you have a lesion on the skin of your face that requires removal then this procedure will generally be a lot more effective than using creams, lotions or freezing the area. The removal of skin lesions may involve dissolvable stitches or small skin grafts but the procedure is safe and recovery time is generally very fast.
